가자 갤러리(Gajah Gallery)는 프리즈 서울 2026에 처음으로 참가하며, 동남아시아를 대표하는 현대미술 작가들의 작품을 선보인다. 이번 프레젠테이션은 동남아시아 현대미술을 구성하는 다양한 예술적 실천과 그 복합적인 면모를 조명한다.

Gajah Gallery is pleased to announce its debut presentation at Frieze Seoul, featuring works by contemporary artists from across Southeast Asia. Conceived as a constellation of encounters, the presentation brings into focus the complexity and plurality of practices that define the region’s contemporary art landscape.

1996년 설립된 가자 갤러리(Gajah Gallery)는 동남아시아 현대미술에 대한 장기적이고 비평적인 연구를 바탕으로 활동을 이어오고 있다. 싱가포르, 자카르타, 욕야카르타, 마닐라를 거점으로 전시 프로그램을 운영하며, 동남아시아를 대표하는 작가들과 긴밀히 협업하는 한편, 지역의 주요 미술사학자 및 연구자들과 지속적인 연구를 수행해 왔다. 또한 주요 국제 아트페어에 꾸준히 참가하고 있으며, 동남아시아 현대미술의 주요 작가와 예술 공동체를 조명하는 출판 프로젝트를 통해 지역 미술사 연구와 담론 형성에 기여하고 있다.

Founded in 1996, Gajah Gallery has developed a sustained, critically engaged commitment to Southeast Asian contemporary art, shaped through long-term collaboration with artists and the region’s leading academics and art historians. 

Operating across Singapore, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Manila, the gallery presents a rigorous year-round exhibition programme and maintains a strong presence across major regional and international platforms. Its activities extend to long-term research and scholarly engagement, as well as supporting the production of extensive printed publications on seminal artists and collectives, contributing to the scholarship and historiography of Southeast Asian art.
