Gajah Gallery is pleased to announce the expansion of its presence in Southeast Asia with the opening of our second space in Yogyakarta. The 3000sq.ft gallery will be located next to Yogya Art Lab, and will house selected pieces from prominent artists as well as host curated exhibitions.
In 2012, Gajah Gallery established Yogya Art Lab with the chief aim of nurturing collaborative work between renowned artists and local artisans to produce contemporary work of the highest quality. The opening of the latest showroom reaffirms the Gallery’s commitment to building its presence regionally and internationally.
The soft launch will be held on June 6th, 2015 featuring works by regional artists; Abdi Setiawan, Ahmad Zakii Anwar, Ashley Bickerton, Jason Lim, Kumari Nahappan, Li Jin, Rudi Hendrianto, Sabri Idrus, Suzann Victor, Ugo Untoro, and Yunizar.
