Gajah Gallery re-opens this month at its newly renovated space in Tanjong Pagar Distripark. Straddling the financial hub and the historic port of Singapore, the new Gallery is situated in a huge warehouse on the edge of the shipping yard in Tanjong Pagar: a prime position for art-appreciators from all over the region.
Vaguely reminiscent of the art galleries in Chelsea, New York in the 1980s, the new exhibition space embodies the reputation Gajah Gallery has consistently built for the past two decades: it is independent, bold, unassuming, and fervently connected to the exchange of ideas in South East Asia and beyond.
