Gajah Gallery is pleased to announce our participation in Art Jakarta 2022, presenting contemporary works by artists from or based in Southeast Asia.
The gallery will be showcasing new major works that artists such as Ashley Bickerton, Suzann Victor, and Yunizar have prepared for the fair, many of which were made in collaboration with Yogya Art Lab (YAL), Gajah’s art space and foundry. Bickerton will feature refined sculptures that bring fascinating new perspectives to his shark motifs; Yunizar will present a monumental painting that incorporates elements from his Coretan series, fusing illegible writings with natural motifs; and Victor will showcase an important new iteration in her signature lens series.
