By refusing to be associated with functional objects, Jason’s ceramics defy conventional cultural boundaries. His clay, whether it be sealed vessels or perforated tumblers, takes the form of remarkable organic formations that are almost sculpture-like.
Jason creates ceramics that inspire a response from the observer by fusing his expert craftsmanship with his intense passion. Jason’s ceramics emanate an unpretentious, pale, and sleek rawness that shows the artist’s talent and energy.
1992 was the debut performance of Jason Lim in Canterbury, England. Since then, Jason has displayed his work in the Singapore Art Museum as well as in Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, India, Poland, Thailand, and Japan. His work is also part of the prestigious collection of the Singapore Art Museum.
