    Artist Bio

    (b. 1997, Bali, Indonesia)    

    Jemana Murti’s artistic practice is deeply informed by his interest in technology and his lived experiences as a Balinese. His work explores the intersection of tradition and modernity, reflecting on the religious and cultural landscapes of Bali through a diverse range of media, including wall pieces, sculptures, and large-scale installations.

    In 2022 and 2023, Murti participated in the National Gallery Singapore Benefit Auction and was awarded the bronze prize in the 2023 UOB Painting of the Year. His works are held in both private and public collections across Europe, Asia, and Australia, with notable placements at the Tentrem Hotel, the Louis Vuitton flagship store in Jakarta, and Morgan Stanley Singapore. Most recently, he presented his first solo exhibition, Digital Echoes of the Past, at Gajah Gallery Jakarta.

    Murti currently lives and works in Bali, Indonesia.
