JOB SUMMARY
As Gallery Assistant – Sales for the Gallery, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with artists, collectors, and cultural institutions. The ideal candidate is passionate and interested in the arts and is eager to learn. Superior communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and good knowledge of Southeast Asian Art are required. Must be comfortable with improvising, taking initiative, and be calm under pressure. Discretion, a collaborative spirit and a positive attitude are essential requirements for these roles. You must also be confident, highly presentable and with an understanding of exceptional customer service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
- Working alongside Head of Sales in conversations with collectors, artists and institutions
 - Assist in monitoring online sales platforms
 - Interacting with the public in front-facing capacity including answering phone calls and fielding visitors and collector’s questions
 - Supporting the design and development of digital sales tools
 - Support our current loyal client base, as well as proactively building and nurturing new customer relationships
 - Monitoring and research global art markets and implementing sales strategies
 - Work with other teams (Marketing, Curatorial) to provide content and support for exhibition related matters.
 - Ensure timely follow up with clients after exhibition and art fairs
 - Generate accurate and timely invoices to clients
 - Respond to email inquiries and other inquiries through 3rd party sales channels such as Ocula and Artsy
 - Maintain up to date and comprehensive client information
 - Build customer service relationship for effective and comprehensive coverage
 - Update Gallery Manager daily on customer’s general business
 - Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets
 - Manage specific portfolios under his/her responsibility
 
Market Research and Observation
- Work with colleagues to transform market intelligence into sales opportunities
 - Attend gallery and museum exhibitions to increase visibility in the art world
 - Work closely with Gallery team to plan, organise and install art fair booths in specific markets
 - Monitor any possible market changes or shifts in customer’s demand and preferences
 
Exhibition/Fair Management
- Responsible for air fair applications
 - Completing all administration tasks relating to the participation in fairs, including submission of forms and artworks
 - Lisie with fairs to ensure all relevant information is received prior to event
 - Assist with press and catalogue entry and preparation of fair materials
 - Coordinating transport to ensure all artworks arrive and depart safely
 - Assist with all on-site aspects of art fairs
 - Assist with move-in and move-out of art fairs
 - Prepare shipment to client for sold works after the fair
 - Working closely with exhibitions team ensuring exhibition-related programmed are aligned with direction of exhibitions
 - Working with other department heads to ensure teams run smoothly and maintain harmonious working methods and communications
 - Directly line manage 3-4 staff ensuring these staff members feel supported, nurtured and equipped with the relevant information to carry out their duties effectively
 
Administrative
- Provide general support to visitors
 - Provide information by answering general questions and requests
 - Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
 - Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
 - Oversee and supervise the work of junior staff
 - Provide administrative support for gallery activities and manage curatorial projects
 
JOB HOLDER’S SPECIFICATIONS
- Passion for the arts and a desire to be actively involved in the art community
 - Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and a basic knowledge of Abode Applications 
primarily Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator - Strong graphic design skills
 - Patient, hardworking and willing to learn
 - Basic knowledge of Southeast Asian art and artists is a bonus
 - May be required to work on public holidays

Gallery Intern
Exhibition Management

of weekdays and weekend (weekdays: 11-7pm, weekends 12-6pm)
JOB SUMMARY
The Gallery Intern supports the team to realise exhibition in the Galleries. In this role you will assist with the production and delivery of exhibitions. Working closely with the team, external curators, artists and installers, you will be responsible to assist with exhibition management, including install, loan agreements, and technical aspects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Curatorial
- Work with other teams to provide content and support for exhibition related matters
 - Working with curators to assist with mounting exhibitions at the Galleries
 - Provide administrative support for curatorial activities and manage curatorial projects
 - Update exhibition materials such as artist CVs, biographies
 - In-depth research on both individual works of art as well as specific artist
 - Produce information packs based on research on various artist and/or specific artworks
 - Draft extended text for wall labels/texts
 
Exhibition Management
- Assist in the organisation of an art exhibition from inception to completion
 - Assist with the technical aspects of multimedia and installation artworks
 - Assist with the physical installation of artworks including and not limited to the painting and repairing of walls and pedestals
 - Responsible for technical support, maintenance and daily operations in relation to all exhibitions at the Gallery locally and internationally
 - Coordinate general exhibition matters
 - Intern will be required to attend all exhibition opening during the period of the internship
 
Administrative
- Provide general support to visitors
 - Provide information by answering general questions and requests

JOB SUMMARY
The Gallery Assistant – Design is responsible in assisting Gallery Executive-Design in all areas of graphics and design needs for the Gallery. This includes creating visually compelling and effective marketing assets.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design
- Conceptualise and execute design for all exhibitions, fairs, projects, consisting of publications, posters, social media, etc
 - Assist with the technical aspects of multimedia and installation artworks such as creating instructional manuals
 - Ensure consistency in branding across all design assets and platforms, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable brand image
 - Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
 - Assist with any other design requirements
 
Exhibition Management
- Assist in the organisation of Philippine based exhibition from inception to completion
 - Assist with the supervising the handling/packing/installation of artworks for shipping/installation
 - Responsible for technical support and daily operations in relation to all exhibitions at the Gallery locally and internationally
 - Coordinate general exhibition matters
 - Assist with Gallery’s yearly Art Fair Philippine participation, to be onsite for the whole week
 - Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to gallery projects and activities

 - Second IC for projects that Gallery Manager oversees

Customer Relationship
- Conduct VIP tours to clients, artist, museum curators, scholars and as needed
 - Ensure all visitors to the Gallery have a pleasant experience – by maintaining the cleanliness of the Gallery, providing accurate price lists and artist information, giving gallery tours and generally creating a welcoming environment
