Franco Laurel is an award-winning Filipino singer and actor for film, TV and stage – a now staple of the industry, since he first gained national attention as the co-host of the dance show Keep on Dancing in 1998. Laurel’s first foray into professional theatre began in 1999 with a role in the musical Rama at Sita, based on the epic Ramayana. He has received two ALIW Awards for Best Actor in a Musical, for his work in Honk, The Ugly Duckling in 2004, and Isang Panaginip Na Fili in 2009. Alongside his work in the performing arts, Laurel’s practice has since expanded to include producing, as well as writing and editing for several international lifestyle magazines.
