The much awaited book launch of renowned artist Teng Nee Cheong entitled ‘Those the Gods Love Grow Mightier’ traces the development of this talented artist, viewing key works of both private and public collections over the last 40 years. Aptly known as “The Artist with The Golden Hand”, Teng’s skills authenticate his alias, earning awards such as the reputable Phillip Morris ASEAN Art Award in 1993, 1995 and 1996. His art features an array of radical ideas and depicts an unorthodox yet tasteful vision through a pictorial journey of psychedelic hues. It was this rebellion against the conventional that made Teng a fledging artist of his time, allowing him to cave the way for future generations.
