A graduate from the esteemed Fine Arts program at LPK Modern School of Design, Uswarman practice is deeply rooted in personal experience and a keen engagement with his surroundings. He often finds enduring inspiration in the unsettling transformation of nature—once a boundless source of beauty and freedom—now increasingly shaped by human intervention. This tension between natural landscapes and constructed environments underpins his visual narratives, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and engage with his interpretations of a rapidly changing world.

Now based in the artistic hub of Yogyakarta, Uswarman has been an active presence in the Indonesian art scene since the early 2000s. He has exhibited widely in Indonesia, where his evolving visual language and expressionist approach continue to resonate.
