    (b. 1962, Singapore)

Siew Kee Liong is a visual artist with extensive experience in large-scale photography and digital videography. Working with digital and analogue technology, his digital works are usually black and white photographs of people, while his analogue works are of found objects. Influenced by experimental films from the 1960s, Siew Kee Liong approaches photographs and their negatives as a material for further manipulation, altering the surface by scratching, burning, dyeing, or even by simply allowing for the proliferation of mould and fungi to interact with the photographic emulsion.

Kee Liong earned a Bachelor of Science in Motion Pictures in 1989 from and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography in 1991, both from the University of Miami. His works have been exhibited in Singapore, Japan and the USA. In 2015, his photograph Big Brother received an Honourable Mention for the Editorial: Documentary (Professional) category at the International Photographer of the Year awards.
