S.E.A. Focus returns for their 5th edition this weekend! The curated fair dedicated to Southeast Asian works seeks to foster a deeper appreciation of contemporary art and artists within our region.
The Gallery will showcase new works by prominent Singaporean artist, Dr Susie Lingham, and rising Malaysian star, Kayleigh Goh. Dr Lingham displays conceptual sculptures and poem-riddles that probe the human mind, its capacity for reasoning, and the manner in which it perceives. Goh creates metaphysical spaces and temporary escapes out of wood and cement, embracing the quiet of ‘solitude’.

Today, borders for exchange and communication are porous, if not already invisible. Art and artists flow freely between landscapes and cultures. At international art centres and institutions, dialogues on diversity and equality are very much alive. Galleries of Asian origin stand ever present, located as equal participants and contributors, influencing the tone of the global art arena. As Singapore takes focal point in the international visual arts calendar this January 2023, the panel presents positions and opinions of its leading market players.
