    Ricky Qaliby, born on January 8th, 1996, in Binjai, Indonesia, is an artist with a deep sense of wanderlust, drawing inspiration from the experiences and encounters he has on his journey. His passion lies in translating the paradoxical spectrum of the world into his artwork. A hallmark of Qaliby’s paintings is his use of acrylic boards as a medium. This choice not only influences the outcome of his creative process but also reflects his emotions, symbolizing the synergy between himself and the universe.

    Throughout his career, Ricky has received several accolades, including being named a Prospective Winning Candidate in the “Pesona Gerhana Matahari” Photo Documentaries Contest in 2016 and securing 1st runner-up in the National Epson Photo Contest “Warna warni Indonesiaku” in 2013.

    Ricky’s solo exhibitions include “Peace Blossom” at Gudang Gambar in Jakarta (2022), “Microscopic” at Art Moment in Jakarta (2020), and “BAIKTERIA” at OPPO Art Jakarta Virtual (2021). He has also participated in numerous prestigious group exhibitions, such as “Re-reading Lanskap #2 MIMICRY or SUBVERSION” at Nadi Gallery in Jakarta (2024), “Minisphere” by Sakato Art Community at Getback Parlour in Jakarta (2024), and “Art Jakarta 2023” at JIEXPO Kemayoran in Jakarta (2023). Other significant exhibitions include “Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong” (2023), “Art Moments Jakarta” at Sheraton Gandaria (2022), and “Art Jakarta Gardens at Hutan Kota by Plataran” (2022).
