Destroyer #1 and Destroyer #2 are portraits of Beethoven. Dicko was inspired by the composer’s story, in which he lost his hearing yet continued to create. This phenomenon made Dikco realize that creating works of art is an artist’s responsibility. Dikco finds that his friends face the same struggle as him, unable to give answers when asked, “Why don’t you  create works?” The answers are often flimsy and bumbling. Inspired by the dedication of many artists before him, Dikco became determined to be consistent in his process and carry out his duties as an artist without finding excuses.
